"Cosmic Solitude" photography book
Signed copy of the photography book “Cosmic Solitude”, by Yulia Grigoryants.
“Cosmic Solitude” is an exploration of solitude and isolation in what was probably the Soviet Union's largest cosmic ray research station, located in my homeland Armenia. Today, only three people live and work at this station 24 hours a day, all year round. This book visually documents life in an isolated and almost forgotten place in the mountains of Armenia, but in reality it explores the full range of meanings of what it is to be human and alone.

Cosmic Solitude documents the solitary lives of the station’s remaining employees as they continue to carry out their professional missions in a world that seems to have largely left them behind. It attempts to shed light on this unique station and its mission to serve humanity’s scientific endeavours through the prism of the everyday lives of the station’s last remaining employees.
